Template library
Pre-built strategy templates — how to browse, launch, and customise them.
The template library provides pre-built strategy descriptions grouped by type, risk level, and asset class — covering styles from RSI bounces to grid strategies — that you can launch directly or customise as a starting point.
How do you access templates?
From the home screen, click Templates or Browse strategies. Templates are grouped by:
- Strategy type (momentum, mean reversion, DCA, grid)
- Risk level (conservative, moderate, aggressive)
- Asset type (spot, perpetuals, stocks)
Available templates (examples)
| Template | Logic | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| RSI Oversold Bounce | Buy when RSI(14) < 30; sell when RSI > 70 or +5% | BTC/USDT, spot |
| EMA Cross | Buy when EMA(9) > EMA(21); trailing stop 2% | Any trending market |
| Bollinger Mean Reversion | Buy when close < BB lower; sell at middle band | Sideways markets |
| MACD Divergence | Enter on MACD line crossing signal; exit on reverse | Any timeframe |
| DCA on Dip | Buy fixed $100 weekly, skip if price > 7-day avg | Accumulation |
| Grid (BTC 60k–80k) | Place orders at regular intervals in a range | BTC in range |
How do you launch a template?
- Click the template card
- Review the pre-populated strategy on the interpret screen
- Adjust market, exchange, capital allocation, and timeframe

How do you customise a template?
Templates are just pre-filled prompts. After launching, you can adjust any field from the interpret screen — including changing the indicators, thresholds, and risk controls.
Launching templates from an AI assistant
If you have connected the Coinrule MCP, you can browse and launch these templates straight from Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok — e.g. "show me the beginner templates and launch the RSI one on paper." See the MCP tools reference.
