Connecting your first exchange
How to connect your first exchange account to Coinrule.

Live trading requires connecting at least one exchange account (Starter plan or above).
Quick start
- Go to Connect (avatar menu → Connect, or
/connect). - Choose your exchange.
- Follow the exchange-specific guide — each shows the exact API key permissions needed.
- Paste your API key and secret (or use OAuth if available).
- Coinrule tests the connection and shows your balance.
Which exchange to start with?
- Binance — widest coin selection, best liquidity. Use Binance Link (OAuth) for the fastest setup.
- Coinbase — good for US users. OAuth available.
- Hyperliquid — DEX perpetuals, wallet-based auth.
Exchange guides
Paper trading without an exchange
You can launch paper strategies without connecting a real exchange. Paper strategies run on paper_binance or paper_hyperliquid virtual accounts. No exchange connection is needed.
