Connect Grok to Coinrule
How to connect Grok (xAI) to your Coinrule account over MCP so it can trade, read balances, and build strategies, using standard OAuth 2.1 discovery.
Grok can connect to Coinrule through any MCP connector that supports OAuth 2.1. Because the Coinrule MCP follows the standard MCP and OAuth discovery specs, the setup is the same as any other remote MCP client: add the server URL and sign in.
Add Coinrule as a Grok connector
Open Grok's connector / MCP settings
In your Grok client, open the area for adding custom tools or remote MCP connectors and choose to add a new server.
Enter the Coinrule MCP URL
Use:
https://cloud.coinrule.com/mcpGrok discovers the OAuth endpoints automatically from Coinrule's protected-resource metadata — no extra configuration needed.
Sign in with Coinrule
Complete the Coinrule OAuth sign-in. Grok never receives your password or exchange API keys.
Choose Read only or Read + Write
Pick your access level. See scopes and permissions.
Confirm the connection
Ask Grok to list your Coinrule strategies to confirm it can reach the tools.
Grok support depends on your client
Coinrule's MCP is a standards-compliant OAuth 2.1 server. Any Grok interface that supports remote MCP connectors with OAuth will work. If your Grok client does not yet support remote MCP connectors, use a client that does — see other MCP clients.
Try it
- "List my Coinrule agents and their status."
- "Show my portfolio holdings across all exchanges."
- "Start a DCA bot buying ETH weekly on paper." (requires Read + Write)
See example prompts for more, and troubleshooting if the connection fails.
Managing the connection
Every connected assistant, including Grok, is listed in Settings → Integrations, where you can revoke access instantly.
