KuCoin requires an API key, API secret, and a passphrase. All three are required.

How do I set up KuCoin?

Open KuCoin API management

Enable these permissions

  • Generalread account info and balances.
  • Spot Tradingrequired when connecting Spot or Both.
  • Futures Tradingrequired for Classic perpetual futures accounts.
  • Unifiedrequired for Unified Trading Account perpetual futures accounts.

Leave these OFF

  • Withdrawal

Notes

  • API Passphrase

The KuCoin passphrase is set by you when you create the API key. It is NOT your KuCoin account password. Store it somewhere safe — you cannot retrieve it later.

Which pairs are supported?

All spot pairs on KuCoin with USDT as the quote currency.

Troubleshooting
