What are baskets?
Baskets are multi-asset strategies that periodically accumulate a weighted set of tokens or stocks.
A basket is a multi-asset strategy that periodically buys a weighted set of assets on a fixed schedule — a systematic way to accumulate a diversified position over time. Coinrule offers both curated thematic baskets and fully custom baskets you build yourself.
How do baskets work?
On each rebalance tick (daily, weekly, or monthly), the basket strategy fires a buy order for each asset in the basket proportional to its configured weight.
Coinrule baskets use a scheduled weighted buy model (DCA-style accumulation), not drift-aware rebalancing. Each tick adds to your position — the basket does not sell overweight assets to buy underweight ones.
Curated vs custom
- Curated baskets — pre-built thematic portfolios maintained by Coinrule (L1 Majors, DeFi Blue Chips, AI & DePIN, etc.). See Basket categories.
- Custom baskets — you pick the assets, weights, and schedule. See Custom builder.
What baskets don't do
- Baskets do not sell overweight assets or rebalance toward a target weight.
- Baskets do not automatically replace delisted assets.
- Baskets do not have portfolio-level stop losses.
Each basket runs as a standard strategy — you can pause, stop, or close it like any other agent.
