Inherited plans

How legacy plan entitlements are honoured in Coinrule Cloud for existing customers.

Updated 2026-05-29·2 min read

Customers who had a paid legacy Coinrule subscription may have an inherited plan in Coinrule Cloud at no additional cost. An inherited plan mirrors the feature set of the closest equivalent Cloud plan and remains active until its expiry date or until you upgrade to a paid Cloud subscription.

What is an inherited plan?

An inherited plan mirrors the feature set of the closest equivalent Cloud plan. It is a transitional plan — it does not auto-renew on the legacy billing cycle.

How do I check if I have an inherited plan?

Settings → Billing → Plan. If your plan says "Inherited — [Legacy Plan Name]", you have an inherited plan.

What's included

Inherited plans grant the equivalent Cloud plan features. The exact limits were set at the time of migration. Contact support if you believe your entitlements are incorrect.

How do I upgrade from an inherited plan?

You can upgrade to a paid Cloud plan at any time from Settings → Billing. Upgrading ends the inherited plan and starts a new billing cycle.

What happens when an inherited plan expires

Inherited plans have an expiry date (shown in Settings → Billing). When they expire:

  • Your account moves to the Free plan
  • Active agents above Free plan limits are paused (not deleted)
  • You receive an email notification 14 days before expiry

Legacy Chargebee subscriptions

Some legacy customers had subscriptions managed through Chargebee (legacy billing). If you see a "legacy" plan badge, it means your subscription is still managed by the old system and will be migrated to Stripe at the next renewal.
