Launching a basket

How to launch a curated or custom basket strategy.

Updated 2026-05-29·2 min read

Launching a basket connects it to an exchange account and starts its rebalance schedule. Curated baskets can be launched directly from the catalog in one click; custom baskets require building your asset selection and weights first.

How do I launch a curated basket?

  1. Go to Baskets (or Agents → Baskets tab).
  2. Browse the catalog. Filter by category: All, Crypto Spot, Crypto Perps, Onchain, Stocks, ETFs.
  3. Click a basket card to see its composition and details.
  4. Click Launch to open the launch drawer.
  5. Choose your exchange account and set the capital per rebalance tick.
  6. Click Launch.

How do I launch a custom basket?

  1. Go to Baskets → Create custom basket.
  2. Build your basket (see Custom builder).
  3. Click Launch.

What happens after launch?

The basket appears in your agents list as a running strategy. It will execute its first rebalance shortly after launch and then on the configured schedule.

You can pause, stop, or close a basket like any other strategy.

Can I launch a basket from an AI assistant?

Yes. With the Coinrule MCP connected, you can ask Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok to launch a curated or custom basket — e.g. "launch the layer-1 basket with $500 on paper." Custom baskets whose assets span multiple exchanges launch across all of them at once. See the MCP tools reference.

How do I view basket performance?

Basket strategies appear on the agents dashboard and have a standard strategy detail page showing P&L, open positions per asset, and trade history.
